A while ago I featured Matsanobu Fukuoka in a post called
“The Understanding of Nature Lies Beyond Human Intelligence“
the very title of which should make us pause.
What many call “permaculture,” farmer, philosopher and former plant pathologist Matsanobu Fukuoka calls “natural farming,” “a method that does not use fertilizers, the soil is not tilled, pesticides, weed removal, and chemical weed killers are not used.” Here he is in Greece, regenerating burned hillsides with seed balls, recognizing that “Nature is perfect” and working with Her rather than against Her.
