The word “matter” comes from the Latin, “mater” — mother. May we contemplate this connection. As my friend Claudia likes to say, “Too materialistic? No. We’re not materialistic enough.” Because we don’t take care of things, we don’t care for Earth. We don’t care.
But some of us do. When it counts. When it matters.
It all matters.
