I like to tell people, “Let us learn to live, as far as possible, BELOW money.” In other words, rather than valuing money above all else, rather than seeing money as “bottom line,” let us learn to recognize money as merely an artificial, human created, floating scrim on top of Nature. We have been bamboozled by the scrim, forgetting that it is an illusion, hiding the mysterious interconnectedness of Nature underneath.
This image shows another, much more drastic and dynamic, way of viewing the relationship between Nature and Money. Pulling Nature in through the maw of a giant machine, it grinds Nature into Money, and forces awareness that we must shift our perspective on the relationship between Nature and Money NOW, before it is too late.
