What is Collaborative Consumption and why does it matter?

Here’s a little video from England. It’s clear that the more we share, the less we “consume” in the usual sense, the more casino capitalism suffers. Endless growth, here, is not in the (debt-based, fiat) money supply, but in the increased number and variety of exchanges among people, mapping unmet needs with unrecognized resources. Seen in ecosystem terms, “enabling trust between strangers” renders our communities much more resilient.
