All my (our?) nightmares of roving gangs of violent PTSD veterans ransacking the countryside in a Mad Max scenario of the End Times are being upended by this extraordinary upwelling of veterans utilizing non-violence and forgiveness ceremonies at Standing Rock to help begin to make things right again. Now, it appears that our beloved veterans may be heading for Flint Michigan, and the tainted water there.

So I wondered, who is this Wes Clark, Jr., who started the facebook page that got his fellow vets activated, and who knelt in front of Leonard Crow Dog and begged forgiveness? And, wouldn’t you know, he’s the son of a famous general, the very one who let us know what was planned for the Mideast after 9/11. Remember this clip?

It appears that real courage runs in the blood. So grateful. And that Wes Clark Jr. now stands on his father’s shoulders, seeing further into the bleak or beautiful horizon, depending in large part on our use or abuse of precious water.
