Oh my. It’s so incredibly fascinating how massive, egotistical, workaholic, seemingly indefatigible Donald Trump continues to confound, mystify, collide, confuse, confront just about everyone and everything around him, both “supporters” and “detractors” hotheadedly throwing stones while maintaining the impenetrable ideological wall that divides them from each other.
I’ve personally witnessed this enormous ideological divide as it plays out in my twitter and facebook feeds, with the twitter account tending to be more “right-wing” and facebook feed more “left-wing.” This reflects the fact that I joined facebook way back when, but only became active on twitter recently. And meanwhile, like a slow oncoming tsunami, I seemed to have “completely changed my mind”! Well, not really. I still have my mind, and I still work to keep it open.
Alt-Epistemology: HELP! Facebook “friends” utterly divergent from those I “follow” on twitter.
Usually, I’m content to just surf and lurk on both these feeds. While twitter tends to be more interesting, and offers more breaking news, it also sports an overall mean tone which I do not at all appreciate. And my facebook feed continues to offer what I now consider pretty much self-righteous, neo-liberal palaver that echoes the deep state run mainstream news. Recently I decided to up the ante on fb, and shared with “friends” (and real friends, and relatives, too), a short video of Newt Gingrich, a man whom I used to “hate,” talking about Clinton Corruption.
I knew when I posted it that this video would rouse the “leftist” anti-Trumpers. And boy did it! If you are on fb, ask to friend me, then go to my feed and you will see a thread that has been ongoing since June 14, when I posted the above video. I have been called every name in the book. I have also had several folks, including an old childhood friend who disagrees with me, come to my defense, and one, Bill Pfeiffer, with whom I traveled to Siberia last summer, says he wants to call me, and LISTEN. How refreshing! Thank you! Let’s do talk.
It’s an amazing thread, — one person called it “a slow-motion train wreck,” and I’m now working to possibly shift it into an alt-epistemological discussion, rather than focusing on who’s “right” and who’s “wrong.” In other words, how to describe the common linguistic, emotional, psychological, sociological space within which all our discussions take place? And how can we open to receive each other’s perspective, even when it conflicts radically with our own?
Meanwhile, Trump continues to confound, his seeming contradictory announcements slamming everyone into “yes!” then “no!” — or “no!” then “yes!” — almost instantaneously.
Pentagon freaks out as Trump AGAIN calls for cessation of US war games in Korea
Sott comments to this piece above that Trump “has apparently turned into a peacenik.” Hardly. He’s just upped the ante.
Of course one wonders how this announcement dovetails with the claimed reality from many sources of a vast Secret Space Program, many decades old.
And one wonders how anything Trump says dovetails with his apparent familial association with Nikolai Tesla, the man who gave us free energy once and for all, and which, like the Secret Space Program and the UFO reality behind and threaded into it, was quickly covered up, due, I imagine, to “national security concerns.” Yawn. The usual.

Text book con man…. just the other side of the crooked coin the Clintons occupy.
Funny how we never talk about the purposes listed in the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States.. the first of course is “to form a more perfect union”. How about some of the others, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense (not an imperial military, now including space), promote the general welfare, secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
Frederick Bastiat, got it right “legal plunder”, when these clowns are through there will be nothing left.
Good blog as always. Yes let’s talk. I was in the process of calling you and could not find your number. Can you send it to bill@sacredearthnetwork.org. I’m very much wanting to unpack this. It’s big and I WILL listen. I actually don’t think of myself as a liberal. Liberals have historically been apologists for the USSR…
Here are two links that go right to the heart of my current political thinking. I hope you will take a look: https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/taking-children-from-their-parents-is-a-form-of-state-terror [ this one takes a small pc of it to make strong point]

What I find intriguing among liberal-leaning family and friends is dependence on main-stream-media for information knowing that the majority of today’s main stream media outlets are owned and operated by a small number of high-profile corporate entities promoting bottom-line agenda.
Exactly!
Rhetorical question: How does this differ from conservative-leaning family and friends who swallow, wholesale and uncritically, the “news” produced by FOX, InfoWars, breitbart and others? What I see happening is people on either side parroting what they see and hear, with rarely a citation or source offered. They weren’t there when “it” happened but they know for sure it’s true because X said so. That’s why the post on “proof” has been illuminating and led to finding some similar articles and views that remind me we really don’t know anything for sure.
I’m not sure who this is attributed to, but it works: “Confusion is the raw material of wisdom.” More on this:

Spot on Kieron, and perhaps (‘rhetorically’ speaking) true wisdom begins with a clean slate.
