This is what fearlessness looks like: Confronting Kissinger and McCain.

During this short, intense, dramatic confrontation inside the “hallowed” halls of Congress, I noticed especially the audience. How embarrassed they were, and mostly silent, uncomfortable, in the presence of such strong impoliteness. Such in-your-face refusal to accept the lies. And I noticed how, even after McCain said his infamous line, “Get out of here, you low-life scum,” the applause that followed was tentative, and slight, as if it would be impolite not to applaud, so they did. Yuck. Thank you thank you, all who stood up for humanity, for Earth, for justice. This insanity called “war” (by any name or any level of intensity, whether covert or overt) can no longer stand.

More of us need to “get over” our need to be polite. It’s the glue that keeps us stuck in the matrix. See the two powerful black women in the last post: As one of them said, about our deeply unjust and unequal economic system: “It’s not trickle down, it’s tinkle down, raining on your face, and it ain’t manna from heaven.” Something like that. Yes. Impolite!

  1. Reblogged this on Laura Bruno's Blog and commented:
You’re going to arrest truthtelling protestors instead of your fellow war criminal?! Why am I not surprised? This is one kind of rudeness of which even the faeries approve. Because all those bombs the ogre rained down on all those people weren’t exactly a health tonic for Mother Earth, either. Thanks to Ann and Lance. I totally agree with everything Ann says here.

  2. From this perspective, (just one of many different ‘points of view, seeking to avoid reactivity and judgment in the interest of innerstandng), “Confronting Kissenger and McCain” (and let’s not forget Secretary of State Mad-Helen Albright, who in answer to Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: “We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that’s more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?”, replied: “I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.), nonetheless all boils down to confronting as yet un_rrsolved aspects of our “own” pysche.

For ‘we’ are totally respone_able for every conceivable aspect of ‘our’ reality.

Until we fully re_cognize, accept, forgive and compassionately innerstand our “own’ dark side, we shall continue to project into this illusion called ‘reality’ the dark side of our Moon.

Kiss(of death)inger, McCain (but not Able) et (not so bright) al, shall continue to reinvent themselves (like burning Bush’s ?), continue to assume the extremes of negative-polarity in this duality-reality game, until ‘we’, eventually, achieve some semblance of balance.

To continue to berate certain ‘actors’ for the roles they play – (“All the world ‘s a stage, and all the men and women merely players…”, Shakespeare), without assuming our total responsability for everything instant, event, being, thing that we create and live within it, – is to perpetuate the self-same duality-reality in which opposites remain unreconciled while ‘Unity’ awaits off-stage.

Until we have fully forgiven ‘our’_selves, and cleaned up our ‘act’, we shall continue to pamper to (Bush_Els?:) of undesirable external, surrogate ‘authority figures’ and cannot real_IS_tically bemoan falling foul of their respective, divisively inappropriate words and deeds.
