My 2 closest friends are sitting between two 50,000 acre blazes, waiting for evacuation orders. They don’t have fire insurance – not because they are irresponsible, but because no one would sell them any. Believe me – someone cares.

Hi Ann,
Glad you had a good holiday! I find reading the comments section almost as interesting as reading the articles. No matter how upsetting the article, reading the comments nearly always brings balance back into focus. I can’t imagine how much CO2 is being released by these wildfires and it sometimes seems counter intuitive that Mother Nature would speed up the forces of destruction rather than help to bring it back into balance. But then we humans have a very short time frame in which to accomplish things whereas she often takes a much longer point of view.
