This afternoon, just as I was retyping a second post on Death that belongs in the My Secret Life manuscript, a post in which I detailed my relationship to Kathryn Tempest, who happens to have been the grandmother of noted naturalist and author Terry Tempest Williams, I see this, in the Salt Lake Tribune. As usual, Terry aligns her decisions with her values, and in so doing, manages to shock the University system of which she has been an integral part for decades. May her actions provoke others in academia who have compromised their values in order to remain in that increasingly toxic, corporatized environment.
