I know. I get it. Things look really bad right now, downright scary even. Begging the questions …

What if it isn’t darkest just before the dawn?

What if that light at the end of the tunnel is actually a train?

These are valid questions. But they are not the only questions we might ask ourselves as we contemplate what—on the surface—appears to be the imminent collapse of Western civilization.

But enough doom and gloom. Here are some questions I prefer to ask. Feel free to use your imagination and ask similar ones of your own.

What if the encroaching surveillance and police state is really a sign of desperation on the part of the global Elites in the face of a mass public awakening?

None other than Cabal front man Zbigniew Brzezinski has openly admitted this possibility, famously stating not long ago at a CFR meeting that a large-scale political awakening on the part of the world population would quickly spell the doom of the New World Order.

Is the crumbling of the NWO, as opposed to the entrenchment of an Orwellian state, what we’re actually seeing in real time?

Despite the fearmongering drumbeat of those who insist humanity is on the verge of total enslavement to the Cabal, many with their finger on the pulse of current events firmly believe we’re approaching some major social breakthroughs for the positive.

A sign of this potentially imminent turn for the better is that, according to a recent poll, nearly a third of Americans now believe what is in outlandish display for anyone except the mainstream media and the hopelessly brainwashed to see: that a secretive group of individuals with a nefarious agenda is behind most of the chaos and misery in our world.

For anyone with a few brain cells still functioning, this leads directly to a simple, elegant solution to most of our problems: remove this secretive group from power and watch things quickly get much, much better.

In the words of Daniel Jackson, “the idea that a belief in a New World Order is somehow a conspiracy theory is becoming more and more insane every day as top business leaders and politicians continue to publicly support a world government through their actions and statements.”

As Brzezinski admitted, awareness of those promoting the NWO is the first step to disarming the perpetrators and dismantling implementation of the NWO.

Might there be other pieces of evidence that the days of the Cabal—whose tyrannical agenda becomes more blatant with every new piece of fascist legislation—are numbered?

Arguably the clearest sign that the Powers that Be are losing their power over the hearts and minds of the people was the recent resounding defeat of their efforts to start yet another a war for profit in Syria.

Freedom champions Lew Rockwell, Paul Craig Roberts and Ron Paul have all, in widely disseminated interviews, compared the US government—considered by many a rogue regime at the heart of the NWO—to the USSR shortly before the latter’s overnight dissolution.

Others focusing on the crumbling economy of the Western world also see major changes to the global power structure in the very near future.

According to economist Charles Hugh Smith, “the next global financial storm is already gathering on the horizon. Doing more of what failed spectacularly will not save the day a second time, as the scale required to create yet more phantom collateral and more asset bubbles will collapse the system.”

Smith’s thoughts are echoed by scores of other savvy economists and investors who refuse to drink the Kool-Aid offered by the doomed Federal Reserve System and its apologists.

This is particularly significant to our discussion because, for all intents and purposes, the Federal Reserve—a private institution that is anything but federal—is the public face of the private banking families who control the Cabal.

Author Matthias Chang neatly summarizes the pickle the Fed is in: the “unraveling post Bernanke’s decision not to taper QE is most significant because it confirms our analysis that the banking crisis has not been resolved in any significant way after five years of money printing and massive asset inflation. The fiat money system has but one outcome—total collapse. It will also mean the demise of the global US dollar reserve currency.”

Then comes the real kicker: “There are no solutions at hand.”

Legendary precious metals analyst Jim Willie arrives at a similar conclusion when contemplating the abysmal state of the US dollar and US treasury bonds on the world stage: “Game over.”

“The USD/USTB brand is dead,” he writes. “The big questions that remain are 1) how the brand will be declared dead, 2) what new currencies will appear with proper asset backing, 3) in what form the Gold Standard will return, and 4) whether its criminal helm will face prosecution for fraud, counterfeit, sweetheart loans, and money laundering.”

What are the people themselves doing to help end the current system of economic and political servitude?

Lots! Virtually everywhere you look, if you have eyes to see, there are indications of a massive awakening.

“Health Ranger” Mike Adams (who is far from starry-eyed when it comes to the real challenges that lie ahead of us) points out that there is a revolution—involving “minds, not mines”—happening right now.

“I don’t know if you can see it yet,” he writes, “but you are living through the unfolding of the most profound revolution in human history. This is a revolution of raising consciousness, advancing real science, holding corporations accountable and empowering individuals.”

In a recent article entitled “10 Signs the Global Elite Are Losing Control,” Eric Blair explores a number of encouraging grassroots freedom initiatives that are having an impact—including Hungary’s rejection of international banksters, mutiny among disillusioned soldiers, widespread secessionist movements, rejection of GMOs, and cannabis legalization.

“Karma is coming for the elite in a big way,” Blair maintains. With “the Powers that Be [having suffered] a devastating defeat in their war plans for Syria, signs are emerging that their rule over humanity is rapidly diminishing.”

Are there any other people-powered initiatives that offer hope of a positive outcome?

The public uprising against the Wizard behind the Curtain—whether we call the latter the NWO, the Elites, the Cabal, the Illuminati or, my favorite, the “Federal Reserve Crime Syndicate”—is visible in a myriad of other ways.

Despite a draconian war on whistleblowers in both the US and UK, culminating in the latter’s revocation, for practical purposes, of freedom of the press, whistleblowers are coming forward in droves in the aftermath of Edward Snowden’s heroic disclosures about the NSA spying on … virtually everyone.

Meanwhile, individuals and governments alike are taking steps to thwart the surveillance state. The viral video “Stop Watching Us” includes stars, activists, legal scholars and other well-known figures denouncing the NSA’s illegal surveillance.

More practically, a new download called Lightbeam by Mozilla, creators of the Firefox browser, might very well be a “watershed” moment in the fight for online transparency and accountability.

Going even further, technology mogul John McAfee claims to be developing a product that will make Internet users basically untraceable. Expect many others to make available similar products and technologies in coming months.

International furor over NSA and related spying programs has reached epic proportions inEurope and especially Brazil, where strategies for countering snooping have been openly and vehemently discussed.

On the subject of Brazil, the Latin American economic giant is a founding member of the BRICS alliance of nations that also includes Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

Perhaps having already been aware of the NSA’s penchant for financial espionage long before Snowden’s revelations, the BRICS countries have been working on their own, independent, NSA-proof Internet—which is nearing completion—for some time.

Meanwhile, the rise of the MeshNet—an underground Internet created through peer-to-peer wireless connections without any centralized, hardwired “backbone” that can be controlled by governments—is happening at light speed.

Decentralization, especially as it is playing out through revolutions in computer and online technology, is a massively uplifting theme I will address in the next article in this series.

Even some in the US Congress, disparaged by many as merely a Kangaroo Congress bought and paid for by the Cabal, have introduced pieces of legislation to curtail NSA spying and repeal the Patriot Act.

Regardless of what shakes out at the official level, these actions go to show there are still a few brave souls with a conscience in Washington who are fighting to free the people from government tyranny.

That said, according to an October NBC News/WSJ poll, fully sixty percent of Americans, given the chance, would throw out every single member of Congress—including their own representatives.

Consider this whopping percentage in light of President Obama’s plummeting approval ratings following the disastrous unveiling of the unconstitutional monstrosity that is Obamacare—and you can begin to appreciate how fed up the average Joe is with the federal system.

People everywhere are standing up to the statist machine. Check out this average Joeconfronting Cabal stooge John McCain for his crimes against humanity at a Town Hall Meeting.

British Actor Russell Brand’s already legendary interview with the BBC (in which he stated, flat-out, that the existing political structure is so broken he sees no point in even voting) went viral like nothing in recent memory—with millions of people watching it on just YouTube in a matter of days.

In a follow-up to this interview published in the GUARDIAN, Brand wrote, “The people who liked the interview said it was because I’d articulated what they were thinking.”

Continued Brand, it “was the expression of the knowledge that democracy is irrelevant that resonated. As long as the priorities of those in government remain the interests of big business, rather than the people they were elected to serve, the impact of voting is negligible and it is our responsibility to be more active if we want real change.”

In a positive development on this side of the pond, such sentiments recently led angry Colorado voters to an unprecedented accomplishment: the recall of two US senators voters felt had betrayed their interests.

Expect the recall movement to gain steam and target other serial violators of liberty. My vote would be to start with California’s Dianne Feinstein. Here’s how this can be done.

Speaking of California, this state which many feel crossed the line into the worst kind of socialism years ago just accomplished the nearly unthinkable itself by becoming the latest state to nullify the National Defense Authorization Act.

What this means in terms of actually making people safe from the more insidious aspects of the NDAA remains to be seen, since the federal government seems to believe states have no rights whatsoever.

But as a sign that the nullification movement is gaining ground, California’s at least rhetorical stand against an overreaching centralized government is encouraging news.

Michael Boldin, Executive Director of the Tenth Amendment Center, has gone so far as to promote state nullification of federal programs—along the lines of hugely successful campaigns relative to marijuana legalization—as a means to cripple the NSA itself.

“We’re not really trying to convince people that the NSA’s mass surveillance program is wrong,” says Boldin. “There are millions of people around the world who already agree with this. We are, however, working to show people what to do about it. The solution, as James Madison and Thomas Jefferson advised, starts in the states.”

In a related story, jury nullification—in a which a single juror can set someone charged with a victimless crime or “guilty” of breaking an unfair law free—is making huge strides in grassroots politics.

Nullification, in the larger sense, is merely a stone’s throw from secession. In response to Big Brother’s arrival, as you might expect, secessionist movements are popping up and gathering momentum virtually everywhere.

If the US does indeed undergo a Soviet-style collapse, as many anticipate, the United States will quickly devolve into—to borrow the title from Juan Enriquez’s excellent book—the UNTIED STATES OF AMERICA.

While extreme preppers and doom-and-gloomers fearfully compare this eventuality to everything from the Great Depression to Armageddon, the reality is that the dissolution of the oppressor that is our current political system will allow for return of decision-making to where it belongs: the grassroots.

That this situation will involve some hardship is a given; that it will necessarily devolve into long-term anarchy isn’t.

In fact, in the way that crisis often leads to opportunity, breakdown of our current enslavement systems that keep people apart may be exactly what’s needed to catalyze breakthroughs in new freedom systems that bring people together.

Looking at the example of today’s highly democratic (in the main) Russia emerging from the ashes of the highly despotic Soviet Union, we would do well to embrace the opportunity to create a new, better social structure even as the old one collapses on itself.

So, how do we go about creating a new system?

A new system—rather, a network of new systems—is already being created.
