Fred Rogers, and his remarkable, very human and humane television series, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, from 1968 to 2001 helped generation after generation of small children feel safe and loved in a world where, increasingly, starting back in the late ’60s (and the Uranus/Pluto in Virgo conjunction), parents primary relationship to each other and their own children began to fracture into a million pieces. The “nuclear” family began its long slow, rocky detonation back then, and my own two sons were among those who, when only two and four years old, glued their eyes to the Mr. Rogers screen from its beginning, in 1968, as their own parents began the rough, rocky road to divorce driven by hurricane winds of extreme feminism and anti-war protests into a world gone mad.
A 2018 documentary about Mr. Rogers life and philosophy, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor,” showing his largely failed lifelong attempt to transform television into a force for harmonizing humans, routinely leaves those who watch it in tears. Here’s a clip of when he was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame, surprised by the sudden appearance of a young man in a wheelchair whom he had introduced on the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood set when he was a young boy.
Now there’s a new movie coming out about Mr. Rogers, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” due out in November, and played by Tom Hanks. Perfect actor to play him, right? Here’s the trailer:
Trouble is, our iconic and beloved Mr. Everyman, Tom Hanks, from what I’ve heard — first alerted by the tweets of a very brave woman named Sarah Ruth Ashcraft, who claims she was trafficked to him by her father when she was a child — is a pedophile.
And if it’s true, then Tom Hanks in this role is an in-your-face insult to the legacy of Mr. Rogers who, above all, wanted the innocent children of this world to feel safe and loved.

And please do pursue all the links on this reddit thread. Frankly, having done so, I’m pretty much convinced, and flummoxed, as usual, by how we the people can still be so “taken in” by those who pretend to be above reproach. From this thread, it appears that Hanks’ alter is “David S. Pumpkins” who emerged later in life, perhaps during the making of the movie Da Vinci Code. I.e., the author does not think he started out as a pedophile.
If you are like me, it’s hard to watch movies now. I can’t help but see them as mind-control programs and the actors in them as blackmailed puppets and/or holding nasty secrets.

Or maybe we don’t know the real Rogers and his world of puppets and his deep love of children. If Hanks is celebrating him, alarm bells should be ringing. Cathy O’Brien said that Bush used Mr. R’s Neighborhood to scramble and confuse young victims.
Hmmm. I did not know Kathy said that about Bush and Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. Do you remember where she said it? In Trance Formation of America?
