Permaculture, where only nature is teacher and the garden becomes the metaphor

Beyond buildings and food, there is pattern. Nature’s patterns.

“You use permaculture, you don’t do permaculture.”

“Any discipline can use permaculture design.”

“As Buckminister Fuller would ask: ‘What is the highest generalization?'”

“We’re not really gardening. The vegetables that we have are a byproduct of soil management. We are aiming to achieve the maximum amount of byproducts through soil management. We are creating the conditions for vegetables to happen. We’re creating the conditions for X to happen. For community to happen. For whatever it is.”

Thanks to Keith.
