Three weeks ago I announced that I had released my ambivalence. That Barack Obama was either a (particularly clever) cabal puppet to begin with, or that he had sold out.

But now, after his “military speech” last week (where he was interrupted by the loud, brave, insistent, tremulous voice of activist Medea Benjamin, and somewhat graciously, if awkwardly, conceded that her critique is important), I’m once again confounded.
Some things Obama said made me sit up and take notice, only to be further perplexed by how the MSM press reported what he said. Gordon Duff noticed this disconnect as well.

I ask: Does this mean there is a split developing between the MSM and the president? That the president is going rogue on the cabal that thinks it owns both the government and the press?
This morning I noticed E.J. Dionne is also pondering the significance of that speech:

Dionne continues to see him as an anti-ideological progressive in an ideological age. Which is how I used to tend to see him, and this speech could be construed that way. But the more interesting question to me, is that the MSM ignored what Gordon Duff saw in the speech, since it truly was newsworthy, because genuinely, apparently, NEW. And that does make me wonder if Obama has gone rogue.
And yet how far “out” could he go, when, no doubt, his life, and especially, the lives of his young children, hang in the balance. Truly, no matter how “progressive” he may have been and still might be, deep down, by agreeing to be groomed for the U.S. presidency he made a pact with the devil.
And of course, none of this really matters. Just more “celebrity porn.” What really counts is our selves, our gardens, our communities, letting go of the so-called PTB “at the top” and “going local,” digging in to the ground.

Again, actions speak louder than words … except when words are laden with a bunch of hypnotic suggestion and NLP triggers. I would love for Obama to go rogue. If he does, it’s a testament to general opinion shifting so much that it buoys him to some kind of sense of the necessity to save face or the courage to step forward because the alternative is less attractive. We shall see….
