While I’m not a (U.S.) “patriot” like the oath keepers.org folks (I would rather view humans as earthlings, and dissolve national identities), I sure appreciate their cheeky new (and very old-fashioned) billboard campaign. It reminds me of an anti-fracking billboard that environmental activists designed, funded, and placed on a crucial highway in Ohio where the fracking dragon has begun to breathe down local necks.
Oath Keepers Places Pro-Snowden Signs in DC Area, Encouraging More Whistle-blowers

Excerpt:
Oath Keepers launches new campaign to place signs and billboards near Washington D.C. area defense and intelligence agencies, praising Edward Snowden for exposing the NSA spying on Americans and urging other government employees to follow Snowden’s example by becoming whistle-blowers.
By Stewart Rhodes
To launch this new campaign, Oath Keepers has placed three back-lit signs on the subway platform in the D.C. Metro Pentagon Station.
The first sign at the Pentagon Station is done in the style of the theater scene from George Orwell’s 1984 and features Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, as “Big Brother” (which we think he was born to play):
1 thought on “Oathkeepers aim to leverage Snowden’s courage”
Yes. Highway signs are the sort of peaceful civil protest that seems to work. We just sent Oathkeepers a small donation for the billboard ads. The power of these ads are horrendous, especially electronic ads along the highways that can be read in 8 seconds and give the local congresspersons phone number to call for action. Also it seems that disinformation flowing about the internet on Snowden, causes me to want to wait to see the next unedited video of Snowden actually speaking. One piece of apparent disinformation put into play on Snowden’s behalf is (paraphrased) “Chemtrails are run by secret GMO contracts and commercial airline company fuel additives, all done without congressional oversight.” This correctly paraphrased statement, was never a video taped Snowden statement. Snowden has to be seen on video actually making his statements from here on out, I believe.
