Neptune’s Mercury Retrograde Dream: How Flight 370 sent us all into space

When Mercury turned to go retrograde back in February,

I spoke of the strongly Neptunian feel to this particular retrograde period. Oceanic Neptune is the planet of mystery, dreams, imagination, and oneness. The time of that retrograde story ended only days ago, on the Spring Equinox, when Mercury, once again, conjuncted Neptune. And yes, Neptune’s world loomed large in this Mercury retrograde tale.

Two things, for me, stand out about the mystery of Flight 370.

ONENESS: First, that 26 nations actually cooperated in trying (and failing, so far) to find it. How about morphing that global concern into mitigating the effects of climate change? Could it be that this multi-state exercise is practice? Let’s hope so.

IMAGINATION: And second, how this mystery continues to fire up the human imagination to warp speed. People may lament the lack of editorial control on the internet, but I clap my hands in glee. For if the “many worlds” interpretation of quantum mechanics is correct, then this celebration of human cerebration is just about unprecedented in its seemingly boundless capacity to spark new theories — and alternate realities? — each one seemingly wilder and more conspiratorial than the last. And, of course, not just in 3D. Numerous theories abound of interdimensional portals, disappearing the plane to have it reappear elsewhere, and so on.

Unknown-1

For one view of the still growing range of theories, see Stephen Cook’s compendium from yesterday:

Missing Malaysian Airlines Plane: The Truth Still Lies ‘Outside the (Black) Box’ – Part 1/2

Missing Malaysian Airlines Plane: The Truth Still Lies ‘Outside the (Black) Box’ – Part 2/2

Back in 3D, the following view feels pretty hefty. It might even be “true” (in one world or another):

A Tiny Microchip Was The Likely Motive For Pentagon Hijack Of MH370

To me, the idea of freeing ourselves up from having to “believe” in any one theory is exactly what’s called for in this rapidly mutating multiverse. Come on folks, let’s open space. And for us, that means, take off our tight, constricted conceptual helmets and shake out our hair.

If your experience is anything like mine, you’ll be thrilled and astonished at what happens next.
