If you haven’t tried this yet, do! I’ve been sporadic, and aim to make it a daily practice. Haven’t done it the full 20 minutes either. Right now I’ve been swishing coconut oil in my mouth for only two minutes, and counting . . .

3 thoughts on “My New Year’s Resolution: daily oil pulls!”
I do oil pulling (almost) daily with Coconut oil to which I add DoTerra’s OnGuard essential oil blend (you can use Young Living’s Thieves) and a couple drops of DoTerra’s Clove essential oil. The Cinnamon is also very effective. Swish it around in the mouth for 20 minutes and spit it out in a napkin and put in the trash. I have not gotten sick even with people going horizontal with the flu all around me. I also find other Ayurvedic practices like skin brushing and the use of the Neti pot on a daily basis very preventive.
I did oil pulling too, for a bit this past summer. Never got to 20 mins, so I switched to tongue-scraping, and eating a spoonful of coconut oil a day. I also do the skin brushing and rub in a blend of essential oils every other day. Apple Cider Vinegar and cayenne pepper to keep the coldies away.
Argggh… I can’t escape these synchronicities! I have been getting the message to do oil pulling for quite sometime. I’ve tried it for about three days here or there, but I’ve been “told” to do this on a regular basis as yet another healthy habit to incorporate, especially since I do have some tooth challenges. Here I was, all set to drift off in another, “Well, we’ll see if I get the message in any other way since I really don’t feel like doing this”… and come to find it on your blog of all places. Well, then! Perhaps I will give it a go again. I do tongue scraping, homemade kefir, homemade yogurt, homemade chaga, fermented veggies, dandelion tea, seaweed…LOL, what’s one more thing?
