More on E-Mail Gate from Veterans Today: If the generals were writing thousands of emails to their mata-hari(?) pals, who was minding the endless wars?

Update, two hours later: Aaaah. But perhaps I misspoke. See comment below. Thanks, Rich.

I wondered about this, too. Even started, during one of my middle-of-the-night insomniac periods, figuring out how many emails per day on average if say 30,000 were written over three years. That’s about 300 x 3 = 900.

900 into 30,000 . . . I mean that’s over 30 emails per day!

I have never, ever written 30 emails a day to anyone ever, for any reason, even at my most obsessional moments. And to go on that way, day after day, for years? And pretend to be engaged otherwise? What is going on?

Who are we as a people that we have suffered such murderous (for war is murder), hypocritical fools for so long?

Who are we, that we have allowed endless wars in our name?

If there’s one thing the current secessionist fever might have going for it, I’d say it’s the fact that the cancerous growth of the military and all that surrounds and supports it (i.e., the well-named “military industrial complex“) has almost(?) totally undermined the legitimacy of our “federal government.”

And we thought the ongoing pedophilia scandal in sports and politics and religion was bad! And we thought, to name the most recent example, the Lance Armstrong debacle was bad! Whew! Now the “mighty” are crashing down all around us.

Best to stay low, feel the ground, connect with other “little people,” share, love, let go of all the hierarchical hoopla that has kept us separate and striving for what we never could get enough of and wasn’t real after all.

It’s Not All In for Paula Broadwell Yet Or The Others
