Today’s Full Moon, which occurred at 10:54 AM EST (so we can’t see it; this Full Moon happens for North America in daylight, with Moon on opposite side of Earth from Sun), is one of the year’s three biggies, Blood Moons, though this February Full Moon is apparently the biggest, because closest to earth (called “perigee”).

And here’s space.com’s somewhat jaundiced perspective on it, perhaps because there’s an actual mention of astrology! Why? An astrologer, Richard Nolle, invented the name.

This Full Moon actually, coming at the very beginning of Sun’s month-long passage through Pisces (and the Moon into its much shorter passage through into Virgo), offers only one close aspect, and that’s a close sextile to a waning conjunction between Uranus and Mars — Uranus at 29° Aries, Mars at 3° Taurus. So yes, given the Uranus/Mars contact, there will probably be some sort of  sudden eruption of shocking news. But then, what day hasn’t featured shocking news lately?

The Sabian symbols for this Full Moon:

Sun at 1° Pisces (Sabian Symbols always move to the next whole degree):

Rudhyar Translation: The process of commingling and interchange which at all levels demonstrates the health of a community.

Moon at 1° Virgo:

“In a portrait, the significant features of a man’s head are artistically emphasized.”

Rudhyar Translation: The capacity to picture to oneself clearly the salient features and the overall meaning of any life situation.

I invite the reader to allow these symbols to flood your psyche, as in the manner of Pisces! And to then look at details that might occur to you as a result of that commingling, as in the manner of Virgo!

Finally, I thought I’d take a moment here to list the significant questions that I and others have long held about the Moon itself. I list them as Q anon lists questions, somewhat cryptically; like Qanon, I invite you to do your own research.

There’s plenty to draw from, and it’s all either on the internet, or reverberating inside your own body.

The questions, in order of increasing incredulity:

Is it true that there are more bar fights, arrests, etc. on Full Moons?

Are we humans, as Gurdjieff said, “Food for the Moon”?

Does the Moon govern both oceanic and hormonal tides, especially for women?

Do women’s menstrual cycles gradually shift together towards New or Full Moons when living in the same house?

Did we ever really go to the Moon?

Is China really there, on the back side of the Moon, now?

Why doesn’t the Moon rotate like other celestial bodies? Why only one side, the same side, facing Earth at all times?

Is the Moon an alien (ET) base? Are there bases on the back side of the Moon?

Is the Moon an artificial satellite of Earth?

Was the Moon towed in from somewhere else?

Is the Moon hollow? Does it reverberate when banged?

Is the Moon, with Saturn, part of an external ET? control system? Saturn’s cycle is 29.5 years, Moon’s cycle is 29.5 days. Coincidence?

Me? I have no idea what’s true and what isn’t. Though I do love to speculate. And for many decades now I have viewed the Moon the way Gurdjieff did, as a “heavenly body” that traps us inside its tiny orbit, unless we WAKE UP! In which case, we can learn to critically (Virgo!) see through the Moon-driven hormonal, oceanic (Piscean!) tides of our emotional bodies and whoosh on out into the larger universe.
