Legal Fictions of the Unoccupied

Chris Scherer photo, thanks to Penelope Reedy, on facebook.

Seems to me this T-shirt, besides being wonderfully succinct and exact, says a hell of a lot about how legal fictions insert themselves into voids left by those unaware that they are being had. I.e., it’s not that “nature abhors a vacuum,” but that human greed, that most strange and unnatural state of feeling unoccupied, does.

There are no vacuums in nature. Nothing real is unoccupied. The cosmos is a living, pulsing plenum, the liquid light of awareness; one being, one all-forgiving, all-encompassing Love, rippling across the vastness.

Of this, we sing.
