The Royal Library of Alexandria burned down, supposedly “accidentally,” in 48 B.C., and its destruction has become a symbol for the loss of cultural knowledge. Wikileaks “collection” is not of irreplaceable cultural treasures, but an ongoing illumination of massive and systematic cultural corruption and destruction. Big difference! However, the Wikileaks collection is crucial, if we intend to wake up to what is being done in our name.
