and have a definite object in life outside themselves and their

A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning,
as if supported by the rays of the sun,
a bird settled on the fire escape,
joy in the task of coffee,
joy accompanied me as I walked.

And Joy is Everywhere;
It is in the Earth’s green covering of grass;
In the blue serenity of the Sky;
In the reckless exuberance of Spring;
In the severe abstinence of gray Winter;
In the Living flesh that animates our bodily frame;
In the perfect poise of the Human figure, noble and upright;
In Living;
In the exercise of all our powers;
In the acquisition of Knowledge;
in fighting evils…
Joy is there Everywhere.
– Rabindranath Tagore, 1861-1941
Nobel Prize in Literature, 1913

How absolutely beautiful and empowering to feel the joy in these pictures. I just set down my dream diary after writing down and experiencing a rare and hilarious comedy skit of dance humor with Fred Astaire no less. Fred dances across the crowded bar room floor in a surprise appearance to the delight of everyone as we stand aside to give Fred room to perform. The comedy lifted our hearts as his costume equipment (a leg long boot is on backwards) and he pretends to be trying to fix it in time to the music as he dances and sings. In 70 years I don’t remember ever laughing myself awake as I did this morning. Something special’s happening.
Wow! Love it! Thanks for your dream, Rich.
How Wonder Full!!
Thank you for finding and sharing this, Ann!!
This is just so full of Win!! Love it! I grinned the entire post. I think my favorite is the Afghani dude with the ice cream cones. 😀 Thank you so much. I think I may have to re-blog this just to spread the joy. 🙂
