A Grave Climate Warning, Buried on Black Friday
We’re being played, again, folks. Climate Warning, in the above post, actually means Climate Warming, which may or may not be real, and may or may not be caused by human activity. Most likely, human activity has exacerbated climate change, but some scientists argue that the entire solar system is heating up.
On the other hand, others argue that we have just entered a mini ice-age, or a period of global cooling. For example, Clif High, who also has a radically different view of the relationship between our sun and its planets.
And. if the past two years are any indication, then global cooling may be more likely.
Don’t Tell Anyone, But We Just Had Two Years of Record-Breaking Global Cooling
What’s the real story here? Warming or cooling? Or just an insignificant blip in either direction? Who knows? I sure don’t. But I do think we need to pay special attention to political and economic agendas disguised as “science” that drive predictions. Meanwhile, here’s some food for thought:

Tell me, is Buckminister Fuller seeing the future? If so, he’s working with a different timeline than the one we appear to be on.
America’s Permanent War Complex
If you’re like me, you can only barely manage to skim through parts of the above long piece. One thing that stands out: the increasing privatization of war, i.e., the increasing corporate takeover of what should be a governmental function, subject to the rule of law.
Instead, we have a lawless world, in which the U.S. Empire, while flailing, is still the world’s greatest bully, preemptively wreaking chaos and confusion everywhere in order to kill and maim and displace and take over and control, all in the grotesque pretense of “installing democracy”and meanwhile — The U.S. Military failed its first formal audit, “AS EXPECTED.” So, no big deal to fail the audit? Huh?
Furthermore:
The U.S. Military Is The World’s Number One Consumer of Fuel
— which of course, is one big reason for continued military occupation, to ensure ongoing fuel supplies . . .
One thing the U.S. Military could be doing, and perhaps will be doing in the near future, is helping to mitigate the inevitable disasters that will accompany dramatic effects of climate change — whether warming or cooling. This possible changed priority — that of helping, rather than hurting — might itself begin to alter the dystopian atmosphere into which are hurtling — the 1% hunkered into elaborate New Zealand bunkers, and the rest of us “useless eaters” either isolated in paranoid rural prepper outposts, or, more likely, barely clinging to survival in cities and towns, while here and there the more aware among us continue to nurture tiny islands of earth-centered community.
Hey wait a minute! Do I really mean all that? Or am I just “in a bad mood.”
One thing’s for sure: we need to face up to all these considerations in our newly languaged condition of “precarity,” if we wish to alter the timeline we are on. I would like nothing more than to see the world through Buckminster Fuller’s eyes. If enough of us can expand our imagination in a transformative direction, you can be sure we will also direct our energy to manifest that vision.
So that’s the challenge: to wake up! Each of us individually and all of us collectively, to the climactic course we are on. Climate change is, it must be, first of all, a dramatic release of the hostile, mutually suspicious, ideologically polarized and materialistically selfish and greedy, climate in human affairs.
