You may wonder why I even bother with national politics, since it’s been rigged for decades. I bother because I do think that this year,  two candidates, Trump and Sanders, unlike Clinton, are not just politicians who wear masks. Instead, in this extraordinary and unpredictable drama for the soul of our nation, these two candidates exhibit two extreme sides of the American character, and, furthermore, that the force of the future is with the young, energized, berner voters!

In other words, the future augurs for a return to old-fashioned qualities of decency, fairness, honesty, consistency and integrity rather than swaggering, racist, bombastic rhetoric.
