All sorts of wonderful and even hilarious stuff being posted by my facebook friends right now concerning supposed “Independence Day.” Wow, have We the (former “sheeple”) People come a long way!

Rather than making a collage with them all, I’ll just feature one, with a bit of context.

First, remember that the Patriot Act was introduced to the House on October 25, less than six weeks after 9/11. Wow! How long is the Patriot Act? I googled this question. Here’s one answer:

Aaaah, now that’s a kind of independence we weren’t even daring to imagine only a few years ago. So things DO change. Let’s keep on realizing that as we continue to make our pointed, jaundiced remarks about the patriotic stupidity of 4th of July.
