How have the courts shaped culture? Witness the history of “corporate personhood.”

When I agreed to accompany my husband Jeff Joel to Bloomington, Indiana, so he could go to law school, I told him that he had a job to do, once he got his law degree. That was to figure out how to reverse the legality of “corporate personhood.” In January, 2004, after only one semester, he died, of a heart attack. Maybe I asked too much of him?
