See the pioneering, award-winning magazine I ran for 12 years, Crone Chronicles: A Journal of Conscious Aging, copies of which are still available for purchase at bbimedia.
Meanwhile, here’s an exciting new local development: after a number of years absence, finally a new Senior Center for Bloomington is to open next Tuesday, taking over a Payless shoe store in the nearby mall. Or: it’s exciting for people getting old around here who, I have a hunch, don’t tend to be infused with Crone, that archetype of the wise elder that needs to be resurrected in this culture still obsessed with being young, staying young, and pretending to be forever young. Hmmm . . . should I suggest that I give a presentation on Crone to the assembled? I WILL attend the opening. Who knows?
