I was extremely disappointed to discover that Gar Alperovitz would be in Bloomington during the exact two days that I would be at Oakwood, preparing for the Baby Picture Project launch. If there was any Bloomington event in 2015 that I craved being able to attend, this was it! Oh well!

Gar is all about local decentralized solutions in contrast to centralized control systems. I heard that it was standing room only at City Hall Thursday evening, with several city council members attending. The local newspaper didn’t mention the occasion. But the Indiana Daily Student did:
