Full-on pessimist Chris Hedges interviews short- and medium-run optimist Julian Assange

images-2IF you can stomach this, do read it. Lots of stuff in it that I didn’t know.

BTW: I have a feeling that this interview was completed before the latest revelations by Greenwald and Snowden, both of whom choose, not only to tell the truth, but to do so in public. The “Death of Truth,” yes, followed immediately by its rebirth, by two heroes that both echo Manning and go further by announcing, in public, that they recognize the likely dire consequences to their own person when they go public in the face of empire.

And when you factor in the enormous spread of permaculture around the world — how it and its cognates are changing the face of food to both fill us with hope for the future and resurrect real community, I’d say that the dire predictions of Chris Hedges are skewed. He only sees the glass half-empty. Let’s focus on the half-full part of that same glass.

Neon_dragon_by_simonjeanette-d4egrdeOh yeah, and on the dragon inside it. Dragons represent the primal power in Nature and the universe.

Don’t you dare think that you’ve figured it out.

Magic is afoot!

The Death of Truth
