Fall Equinox Global Meditations, 2013: The human species reborn?

We are now nine months past conception at the December 21, 2012 Mayan Calender end/begin date for a new cosmic cycle. Is the human species reborn?

December 21, 2012 was the end date inspired with a huge buildup over many years, starting with the world’s first “globally synchronized meditation” during what Jose Arguelles named “Harmonic Convergence” on the weekend of August 16-17, 1987. (I remember it well!, was twirling like a Sufi with others in a giant ceremonial yurt in the Tetons in celebration!). Then, during the final few years prior to December 21, 2012, the expectation that this date would herald either apocalypse or nirvana burned like a fever.

The morning of December 21, 2012 dawned. . .

And nothing happened. It was a day like any other day. Or it seemed that way. Life went on.

And yet, something did happen. Is happening. The pace of life, as usual, during these years, quickened even further; our heads swivel continuously in reaction or our hearts expand continuously in response (depending on our level of awareness and detachment) to each new revelation.

In any case, December 21, 2013, from the vantage point of September 21, 2013, seems like eons ago. Nine months later, and we are so much wiser now! Or at least, more and more of us have “wized up.”

Starting with Harmonic Convergence, it used to be that global meditations were a big deal, one or two a year. Then Neptune, the planet of spirituality that dissolves all boundaries, entered its own home sign of mystical, meditative Pisces. That was in February, 2012, and Neptune will remain there until 2025.

IMAGINE: by that time humanity will no longer need the internet, for communion will have replaced communication.

Less than two years past Neptune’s entry into Pisces, on this Autumn Equinox weekend, there are so many global meditations for both September 21 and 22 that I have no idea how to keep count. Just google it, and you’ll see what I mean.

The actual zero hour of the Equinox, when the Sun pauses to reveal equal day and equal night on its way to the deep dark of Winter Solstice, occurs when the Sun enters 0°00 Libra at 4:44 p.m. EDT Sunday, September 22.
