. . . not “my two front teeth.” This time it’s something more substantial, with the potential to last beyond, way beyond, my lifetime.
I’d settle for this vision — and set of Jupiterian values and and Saturnine forms to reflect it — taking over this Green Acres neighborhood of 440 homes in Bloomington Indiana within 50 years, say; but hey, if we really want to come alive, then I invite us to dream even bigger!
And, by the way, “Merry Christmas!”
Our challenge is to make this Covid lockdown Christmas a truly meaningful one. For example, we can do this by daring to transcend even the New Regrarian Revival way of re-imagining and real-izing the so-called (globalist) “Great Reset” socialist/communist agenda that seeks to grind the verve and energy of individual goals and effort into dust; Podmate Gabrielle, who has the above poster on her desk top, introduced it to her twitter account, thus:
And if we do begin to explore this new Aquarian #PeoplesReset, might we do it by strengthening and deepening our cooperative bonds? Might we learn to share, for example, at first, just one alley between our individually owned homes for a common garden? From this single, tiny, first, baby step, what would happen next? Indeed, what possibilities open up? Can you imagine, parts of the back, front, and side yards of, say, an entire block of individual households, functioning as a commons? Ownership would not be disturbed; all we are invited to do is re-imagine how the spaces between homesteads are used. Part for individual or house gardens, part for common gardens, with winding paths, perhaps a patio commons, chicken house and yard commons, shared tool shed, even a garage transformed into a shared greenhouse?
That’s what we’ve got, so far, in Green Acres Permaculture Village. But it’s not ideal, since, so far, I personally own all three properties. But this tiny paradise does function as a physical template for the transformation of suburban life.
Wake up, folks. It’s time. Let’s learn to embrace all polarities as paradoxes, rather than opting for one pole at the expense of the other and then fighting with whoever we project as occupying the other pole.
Fights, conflict, war: BORING!
In this case, let us learn to weave together INDIVIDUALISM (and private property: capitalism), to COMMUNITY (and voluntarily shared, cooperative, use of at least some resources: socialism).
In our dreaming and manifesting a transformed future, what have we got to lose but our ignorance of all the internal, stuck, (BORING!) psychic blocks to a re-imagined world where the abundance of human creativity synchronizes with the abundance of mother nature.
This IS the Aquarian Age, folks, ever since that Winter Solstice moment when Jupiter and Saturn came together within .1 degree for the first time in, some say, 800 years. And they did so, remember, at 0°29 Aquarius, both having just escaped the turbulent Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto in Capricorn stranglehold, and its extreme disturbance of countless traditional visible and invisible structures and protocols throughout this strange twilight year 2020.
Aquarius, above all else, signifies group experimentation, exploration.
For example, we at greenacresvillage.org have just begun the process of shifting from a Capricorn model (top-down, utilizing a garden manager) to an Aquarian model (horizontal networking, with everyone sharing equal responsibility).
It’s thrilling. It’s scary. Can we do it? Remember: what fascinates and what I fear: THAT IS WHAT I MUST DO!

This is perfect. I sure wish I could come live with y’all in Green Acres Permaculture Village, but I’m afraid you’re just a little too far north for my thin southern blood – LOL 🙂
Well, come visit anyway, in late spring when covid has wound down. Notice my optimism . . .
Ann, you may not have wished for two front teeth yet your challenge to merge community with individualism certainly has teeth . . . a veritable ‘Where We Go One
We Go All’ endeavor if ever there was. Much thanks for raising the bar!
