Comparing Capitalist and Indigenous Economies

As one wag put it, “capitalism is not broken, it’s fixed.” Get it?

This short, clear, brilliant, illuminating film puts our alienated way of life into the larger historical perspective we need to begin to fall back into the interrelatedness that Nature demonstrates. As I mentioned during our weekly community dinner last night, “According to David Graeber’s Debt: The First 5000 Years, we need live in a world where we feel constantly indebted to one another, rather than assume each one-to-one “exchange” should be equal — i.e., complete and over, leaving us separated, and alone, as usual.”
