Update, same day: Reader Nancy has commented that she’s seen a few weather balloon explosions that looked similar. So I watched one of them,

and she’s right, it does! I especially found interesting the comment below the above video that “weather balloons explode at dusk,” which this “chem bomb” also apparently did (as I recall, the narrator said the sun was going down).

I’d like to say I’m “just paranoid,” except that I (and YOU) live (and choke) beneath hazy, chem-trailed skies on a near-daily basis, and this clip may have just upped the ante for all of us.

What is this that exploded near San Diego? I filmed this while filming chem planes spraying very low and the object appeared after the second, higher, trail was laid. Whatever fell from the object rained down into a very urban area full of houses.

I have no idea what to think at this point!
