In halting, quavering tones, this muscled, tattooed young man began to read his statement to McCain that grew stronger and stronger as he warmed up and ended up accusing all his leaders of treason for going against the 99% of the people in this country who say NO, with ever fiber of our beings, to this new war on Syria. No to war. NO. We’re done. Our leaders need to know that, or, as Representative Justin Amash (Michigan) said, “start cleaning out your office.”

Sen. McCain, I sense, is caught aboard his ship-of-fate — Joseph Campbell’s “The Hero with a Thousand Faces,” and has lost his ship’s compass. While President Obama seems to have sold his ship’s compass altogether.
