Thanks to readers Wade Hyde and Visionkeeper, who both responded to my cries for help as to the actual time when the Paris Climate Agreement was signed. And wouldn’t you know, the time was in an article that I included here! Duh! And as Wade Hyde says, it is “an interesting chart.”
Note that the signing occurred just as Mars at 17° Libra was beginning to exactly oppose Uranus at 18° Aries, and was still in a wide T-square with Pluto at 14° Capricorn. See this, for last week’s intense, volatile Mars/Uranus/Pluto configuration.
Note also that this event took place just past when Saturn at 8° Sagittarius squared Neptune at 7° Pisces. See this and this, for the longer-running Saturn/Neptune aspect.
The Midheaven of this chart is 29°58Pisces — the sign in which Neptune currently resides, and which rules Neptune. Might we say that finally, humanity begins its surrender to communion, to mystery, that which lies beyond form, beyond understanding?
Both the Midheaven and the Ascendant of any chart move at about the rate of one degree every four minutes (they mark the 24-hour rotation of the earth around its own axis). Thus the timing for their exact degrees in a chart is significant.
The Sabian symbols (which are always read for the next whole degree) for Midheaven and Ascendant are suggestive, to say the least!

Now that we’re at 12/14, two days post-Agreement, of course the name-calling and nay-saying has ramped up to a deafening roar, from both Republicans and climate and justice activists. Nothing’s ever “good enough” — but of course for opposite reasons! Meanwhile, I suggest that we just sit back, and tune into the universal energies, because they’re way more exciting and mysterious than we can ever imagine. Especially now that Uranus at 16° Aries is nearing the Eris point at 22° Aries. Here’s an interesting take on Eris.

What would also be interesting is putting these aspects into the world chart. Most want to think about one event or one country but what is gone on is global and judging by the charts I have set for 2016 we should expect change on many different levels. In face the next four to five years might all be one big wild ride. In Jan there is a build up of planets in Capricorn in the 10th house of the World Chart which will have not just the squaring aspect of the Pluto to Uranus but also the New Moon and the Sun close enough to produce a squaring effect to that Uranus in the 1st house. Than in March we have an even larger number of planets in Pisces falling in the 12th house of the world chart with a Solar Eclipse squaring Saturn in Sagittarius in the 4th house of the World Chart. I would like to know your take on that but I for one would not believe anything that might come from the main media or any of the months of any of governments around the world as a truth. Best thing is to use the Pisces positive and trust your intuitive side because that side of each of us should be strength. On the negative side we can be dealing with some major fraud especially when you look at the house.
I googled “world chart astrology” and nothing came up. What is it, and what is the justification for setting it up in a particular manner? Thanks.
I do not understand the need that you had to google for the World Chart. Just set one up it is very easy. You always use zero degrees of Aries as the Ascendant. Than just place the transiting planets in the right houses.. You don’t need a natal base because the chart would be considered more a Horary or Forensic type of chart. In the World Chart you have Uranus sitting in the first house which is the physical body of the planet.. Now Uranus as a planet has certain things it rules one is Nuclear and another is technology. Think about the aspects to that planet and the house from the other planets and the houses they are coming from. Mars would be sitting in the 7th house which is our suppose allies. The relationship between countries. Pluto is sitting in the 10th house which in the World Chart represents Heads of Countries/ World Governments. You have to look not just at the planets that fall in each house but the also where the ruling planet of that house falls as well. You also have take in the meaning of the house and the what each planet represents. It is also good if you add in the fixed stars, the asteroids, and the points because the more you have to look at the more information you get. The whole justification of working with the World Chart along with other individual charts is to get a complete picture of what, why, and sometimes who is behind things. It gives you a better idea of what might be expected from the patterns that are forming. What is the connecting factors. You don’t get that with just one chart. It would be the same way if you were doing a personal chart for an person. If you just set up a natal chart without a progressed chart you are missing half of what is gone on in that person’s life.. I been doing this for over 50 years and I don’t understand if you claim to be a consulting astrologer why you have to google a chart instead of setting it up yourself. I take what I do very seriously because it is not a game to me and this period in time with the patterns is not a good time to play games. I would not trust what Google had to say any way. I would want to set up my own. I stated it was not a time to put much trust in the establish media.
You’ve got me. I’ve only been “doing this” since 1974. Meanwhile, your “world chart” sounds like a helio chart for the day, which yes, does have 0° Aries on the Ascendant, and other planets as you describe, with, I presume, an equal house arrangement, though “houses” are only conventions here, since houses are geared for a specific place on earth.
I actually did think about showing the helio chart as well in this post, since I find the near-exact grand cross that shows up with Saturn/Neptune and the midpoint of Venus/Jupiter fascinating. But I didn’t want to delve into the theory of helio charts, since most readers would not be at all familiar with them. Clearly, with that helio T-cross, the energetic configuration for that day from the Sun’s point of view crystalizes the idea of dissolving boundaries (Saturn/Neptune) with LOVE (Venus/Jupiter).
BTW: progressed charts yes. Also, helio, sidereal, draconic, — and the progressed versions of those — all give info.
I have worked with all the different types of chart at one time or another and depending on what I want answered I might cast several different charts. The more info you can attain the better the reading. I also found that when dealing with America’s chart the Gemini Ascendant is usually better than the Sibley.
As for using the Aries as the Ascendant for the World Chart it seems to work out well. When no one really knows a true time or date the Earth was formed years ago many astrologer I knew and study under used Aries since it was the 1st sign in the Zodiac. The beginning you can say. And the keeping the houses equal was the best way since we had no real time to make any other real determination. But using this as the World Chart when you place the planets into it you can see how it seems to be a very good fit to what is happening.
The March 8, 2016 is an interesting chart. You might want to set one up for that day. The Solar Eclipse and so many heavenly bodies falling in Pisces along with the Jupiter/Saturn square with the added close orb of Neptune can really bring about a lot of changes. You should take a close look at that chart and also add those transit for that day into the World Chart as well. It is very interesting to say the least. Major over crowding in the 12th house.

Yes the world chart . The chart for that day with the Solar eclipse is interesting but when you look at it as a global aspect through the world chart is becomes even more interesting. If you add the fixed stars and even the point it even gets more interesting. Since I also believe “So Above. So Below” we have to think that due to what is playing out above the earth could also cause the Earth to react in kind especially since Uranus is sitting in that 1st house.
