As above, so below: butterfly as symbol of transformation

Just in case we begin to forget the fractal nature of reality . . . how nature shapes itself similarly at every scale, how dimensions bleed through to one another, how our imaginations shape and are shaped by laws inherent in the universal flux of creation, how beings at all levels are alive, conscious and intelligent, consider the following:

Blue Morpho butterfly

The blue morpho is among the largest butterflies in the world, with wings spanning from five to eight inches. Their vivid, iridescent blue coloring is a result of the microscopic scales on the backs of their wings, which reflect light. The underside of the morpho’s wings, on the other hand, is a dull brown color with many eyespots, providing camouflage against predators such as birds and insects when its wings are closed. When the blue morpho flies, the contrasting bright blue and dull brown colors flash, making it look like the morpho is appearing and disappearing. More: www.rainforest-alliance.org.

Crop Circle Butterfly Man

Gigantic crop circle formation that appeared in Holland, August 8, 2009. From a comment: "Whenever I see a crop formation especially an incredible one like this I get this feeling in my solar plexus(the more magnificent the design the stronger the feeling), I don't get that when I see man made formations..I get nothing, nada, zero, zip. This is not a man made formation...no way! This is a symbol for us telling us we are about to transform...very exciting!" Butterfly Nebula

And, on the very next, and very magical day, 9/9/09, the Hubble telescope released images of the Butterfly Nebula (NGC 3602). In the constellation Scorpius (in astrology, Scorpio is symbolic of transformation) in the Southern hemisphere. On earth as it is in heaven.
