Here’s a link to a thread on abovetopsecret.com (possibly only a rumor, or a deliberately false story put out to either discredit any true ones of its kind, or . . . more on that below) that does what many of us hope will happen. Another edge breached, this one between the National Guard and its “rulers” who, at least in one new (old) world order timeline, may be seriously moving toward abrogating their mission to “serve and protect” the citizens of this country. See this. BTW: I notice this morning that the story has also been picked up by theintelhub.com, godlikeproductions.com, care2.com, and so on. Let’s face it: we all want this story to be true!
So, is this story true? No idea. But does it matter? And if so, how?
Let’s look at the idea that this kind of story is not, at first true, but that it might become true, as various (false) rumors of it get started. That such a story might plant the idea in minds that may not have felt free to think, express or act on it before? That’s what I’m hoping for, here, and why I dignify this story by reposting a link to it, without knowing whether it is, currently, “true.”
BTW: do read through the comments on the ATF site, as they give the flavor of a certain broad segment of the population of this country that I, for one, rarely come into contact with. The story mentions the “oathkeepers,” a group that my son Colin told me about in 2009. Unfortunately, their site is currently down. Because of this story? Here’s a link to their facebook page, and another to a pdf that states what the oathkeepers are all about. From the pdf:
Oath Keepers is an association of currently serving military, veterans, and peace officers who will fulfill the oath we swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.
Our motto is: “Not on our Watch!”

This “Winter Patriot” piece (http://neweconomicperspectives.blogspot.com/2011/11/open-letter-to-winter-patriot.html) by Mitch Green touches on essentially the same issue. It’s something worth pondering and sharing during this Valley Forge winter of the Occupy movement.
