I’ve heard of dolphins rescuing humans, but not lions! This story from 2005, is going viral now. Via Megan.

I’m reminded of the photo of a goddess statue I saw at Catal Huyuk, in Turkey, where she too, was flanked by lions.

Aha! The Christian Virgin Mary has also been depicted with guardian lions.

Aha, then there’s Sekhmet, the fierce lion-headed goddess at Luxor, in Egypt.
