Every morning, puppy Shadow and I take a long walk. Invariably, we pass others on the street.

With each person I seek his or her eyes with a momentary soft glance that, more often than not, spreads into smiling eyes, mouth and heart.

I feel so very grateful for this continuous blessing in my daily journey through life.

Within the last two or three years, the percentage of people willing to share a lingering glance of love with me has greatly expanded.

This gives me great hope.
