Simply google one word — “protests” — and you will see gobs of MSM news on protests all across the U.S. Remember when the MSM tried not to pay attention to Occupy? Well, times, they are a’changin’ . . . Here’s the NYT:

25,000 march in New York City to protest police violence

Not just one, but two protests occurred here in in Bloomington yesterday, making the front page of the local paper, one of them ending in a die-in on the courthouse lawn that hushed in four minutes of actual silence — not just from the protestors, but from nearby Christmas shoppers as well.

Bloomington streets jammed by “resistance protesters”

So, I ask: Have we had enough yet? If not, what will it take to get the rest of us off our butts? The 99% has always been much more powerful than the 1%. All we need do is break the trance of family, educational, economic, political, and cultural conditioning, i.e., mind control.

“They” control your mind? No they don’t. Just break out (Uranus). And move into your authentic power as a truly human being (Pluto).

Mark Bittman asks the same question, slightly differently, in an opinion piece for the NYT. And as he puts it, it could get worse, come January 6, when the Republicans try to take over.

We have the momentum now. Let’s direct it in ways that benefit both people and planet.

Is It Bad Enough Yet?

Excerpt:

THE police killing unarmed civilians. Horrifying income inequality. Rotting infrastructure and an unsafe “safety net.” An inability to respond to climate, public health and environmental threats. A food system that causes disease. An occasionally dysfunctional and even cruel government. A sizable segment of the population excluded from work and subject to near-random incarceration.

You get it: This is the United States, which, with the incoming Congress, might actually get worse.

This in part explains why we’re seeing spontaneous protests nationwide, protests that, in their scale, racial diversity, anger and largely nonviolent nature, are unusual if not unique. I was in four cities recently — New York, Washington, Berkeley and Oakland — and there were actions every night in each of them. Meanwhile, workers walked off the job in 190 cities on Dec. 4.

Ann, I personally find it noteworthy that the ‘powers that be’ reclassified the planet Pluto as a
‘dwarf’ planet although as astrologer Henry Seltzer infers…Pluto “partakes of what lies beneath the surface layers of one’s personality and speaks to the issue of discovering soul intention”. ‘Dwarf’ planet my eye!
