Yesterday we walked in the rain, played Settlers of Catan (again, I didn’t like it the first time and I like it even less now; think I’m too old and crotchety to really learn a complicated game that features predatory behavior; P.S. Drew won . . .) and then ate out at a Mexican place (kids’ choice) with Colin and Greta in the evening, hoping for a better day today for our ziplining adventure. Alas, too many T-storms predicted. So, plan B: go to the Lilly Library, then to Goodwill, then to a store that sells bike helmuts for Kiera (she says she didn’t lose her bike helmut, that it lost itself from her . . .), then, for me anyhow, food preservation, freezing and dehydrating some of the luxuriant greens in the GANG garden, then dinner at Colin and Greta’s house tonight.
This morning, Kiera upped the ante for poor Shadow, wanted him to climb a staircase to get a treat. He didn’t “take the bait.”
Meanwhile, she finished a finely shaded drawing of the horse she loves best, Reno, the one who ran away with her last summer and she, amazingly, jumped off at full speed.
Here’s what we look forward to at the Lilly:
Paranormal, Supernatural Exhibition Opens at Lilly Library
Sean told Colin about this exhibition, and, no suprise, given the subject matter, he’s decided to join us there.
1 thought on “Family Matters (Most!), Day 2: More puppy "training," Kiera's horse drawing, plus Magic and the Supernatural!”
Have a wonderful time with your family, you are so deserving of goodness.
