While some people still have never uttered the words “permaculture,” or “ecology,” others have already formed and are operating in diverse material and energetic structures that utilize and demonstrate these ideas that serve human/earth connectedness rather than separation. Perhaps not surprisingly, California, always on the edge of this continent and this culture, and historically subject to wild swings in weather patterns (especially in the past two years with the drought), plus sporting rain and sun, mountains and deserts, and in its central valley, one of the world’s largest industrial ag monocultures, would also lead the way to possible genuine resilience?
