Murmurations 2018

Ye gods and goddesses! What murmurings from afar! Fire inside the Clintons’ second home! Bannon lets loose on Trump and Trump fires back! Kim Jung Un and Trump compare red buttons! Yes, “What’s it all about, Alfie?”

I’ve gotten in the (bad?) habit of waking up between 1 and 2 am (liver time) and checking my youtube channels for what might interest me enough to start listening and not too much so that I will then find myself dozing off for a few more hours. Usually, this new habit works to get me what I need, just enough more info/disinfo/misinfo for this lifelong “newshound” to get so full up that my brain switches off.

But not last night. Last night, on son Colin’s advice, I listened to an entire 94 minute broadcast of Cliff High talking about his view of this new year. And couldn’t fall asleep. So you know what kind of broadcast it was. Here goes, if you dare!

Oh, and BTW: I completely forgot to notice that Uranus turned to go direct  at 24°34 Aries on January 2, two days ago! Right before the Clinton fire, the red buttons, and who knows what else. Wild card, unpredictable, outrageous Uranus, remember, is Trump’s personal signature. (His Sun conjuncts Uranus and opposes the Moon). Plus, warlike Mars conjuncts his Leo Ascendant. This man loves a good fight. He positively thrives, on chaos. Here’s Lionel Nation on that:

So, again. Here I am around 9 am this morning with both dogs and Jordan Sather’s latest on the ipad.

(BTW: Sather thinks Bannon and Trump may be making it all up to distract MSM from important news. Hmmmm. . .) Have just finished breakfast. Still too cold to take the dogs for morning walk. Will wait until 1 p.m.

Meanwhile, my two young housemates ganged up on me, last night while I was asleep! They want to clean house. NOW! TODAY!

O.K. OKAY! Ten minutes after this photo you would have seen me get up, take off the extra bathrobe, dust in a mad frenzy both common rooms, and then vacuum up a storm, plus sweep two porches. All within an hour. This week Dan’s on kitchen (which means feed the worm farms too, and the Garden Towers outside in the newest greenhouse (believe it or not, the plants in there still survive, despite extreme cold. Which means we get salad greens all winter long.) This week Alex is on bathroom detail. I think she did her job yesterday, and yes, she was the one who initiated the sudden clean-up. As I said, I feel bushwhacked, but it’s good. Fun times in Green Acres Village!

Rather than Trumpian chaos (which admittedly, though extremely dangerous, might be necessary to roil things up enough to get that swamp draining), I much prefer cooperation. Which puts me, I would think, in the majority of humanity.

Let’s ask ourselves, our housemates and neighbors, our villages and towns and regions, and nation states, to get along. To just learn how to get along, okay? The way birds do, as they fly, here, in a seemingly miraculous murmuration.

I know we can do it. We’ve done it before. We can do it again.

  1. “UNBUNTU” – Ha! Maybe it’s not so strange after all. When I buy lotto tickets I always put the in the names of those who remain very close to me in my life including myself. So winnings are split 10 ways. It’s always been my sense that winning would bring short term joy and long term misery whereas with UNBUNTU, there may be short term regret (not really) but longer term joy. … this Saturday is $550-million. What if? 🙂

I dared to watch the interview with Clif High and found parts of it eye-opening and fascinating. The stuff about cryptocurrency is still hard for me to grasp, but I am continuing to educate myself on the topic. I found the very last part of the interview rather unsettling. I’m not sure why he finds feminism so bad. And I’m not sure the world needs more testosterone-driven males. What is your take on that? Thanks for posting this interview–definitely worth watching.

As a peace activist, back in the 1980s, I used to fantasize about a button for men called “Wimps for Peace.” Because that is what peace activist men felt like to me. Spineless. Not integrated into real masculinity. I’d much prefer “Warriors for Peace”! So I kind of grok where Clif High is coming from.
