LOCAL Photos and Memo: Off on retreat until late Sunday or Monday morning

While I enjoy blogging, and the research associated with it, I also relish my times off-line, when I re-member my interdependency with Earth — not just two or three hours a day when I am either walking puppy Shadow or gardening but always, and in all ways. Indeed, I consider this good earth my primary partner  in a short precious life during which my soul is incarnated as/in one small portion of her beautiful aliveness.

BTW: You might want to check the greenacresvillage.org site later today. Brie will have posted this week’s “communique” to our Green Acres Urban Farm’s four CSA members. And BTW: momentum for the Green Acres village-within-a-neighborhood is gathering quickly this summer. More on that later.

Here’s one story from Brie’s “communique:”

Actually, Brie, that was yours truly who heard the sound of chipping and followed it to the source. Give me some credit, will ya? And when I talked with Kathleen, I realized she not only had a very personal relationship with that beautiful sycamore in her back yard, but referred to the tree as “he.”

Here are a few more of Brie’s photos:
