Finally! Green Acres signs start to go up!

Today, walking with puppy Shadow, I happened to look over and notice: ommigoddess, the sign’s up! The structure for it had been up for a few days. Now the sign itself, the first of five to grace the edges of our Green Acres Neighborhood. You can follow the saga of Katarina’s year-long, successful group effort to get a $10,000 grant from the city to design and install signs here:

LOCAL: After two long months, Katarina’s Green Acres Grant Group turns in the application!

This first sign is two-sided, along the bike trail near the tunnel under the Bypass. Each sign is going to feature something slightly different. This one has bikers!

Each sign will feature our Green Acres logo:

From her email to the neighborhood list:

Please check out the beautiful work done by Everywhere Signs. Flower boxes and landscaping to come (plus 4 more signs at different entrances- the poles are up if you see them around)!

Volunteer day on Wednesday May 4th– let me know if you would like to help fill flower boxes and plant! I will send out a doodle poll for times.

So wonderful, this neighborhood project to tell the whole wide world who we really are!

GO GREEN ACRES! “It’s the place to be.”
