Two Potent Essays for this Independence Day weekend . . .

I tend to read any post written by either of these peace-loving men. Here, Swanson looks at America from “across the pond,” and rejoices that he’s not here to either pretend to celebrate our war-mongering or else hide away from it; and Roland sets the 4th of July into the 9/11 context, where it belongs.
