So, we ask, why? How does such a wonderful event come to be corrupted? Well, duh, of course! Money talks! Here’s a list of sponsors for 2012. Dow and Genentech alone creep me out. Don’t know about the others, and am not personally geared as a researcher myself, so this is just an FYI.

TED, apparently, has morphed to twist itself back into the old “scientific” paradigm that demands clear and distinct boundaries rather than ever-expanding vistas. Sad.
