Cenk Uygur riffs on the arrest of Gasland director at House Energy Committee hearing on fracking

From my notes: Cenk Uygur: Wait a minute. Isn’t this our house! It’s the House of Representatives, our representatives!!

Thanks to currenttv.

Huffington Post reporter Zach Carter and Rep. Zoe Lofgren join Cenk to talk about ‘GasLand’ director Josh Fox’s arrest for trying to film during a public House Science Committee hearing on hydraulic fracturing. Sixteen cops were sent to escort Fox out. Cenk says, “Apparently Republicans are desperate to hide something about their fracking policy.”

  1. Rena says:

Fracking should be viewed as a crime against the environment as should ALL oil and gas activity. Its the reason we have climate change and why so many pristine areas around the planet are now polluted because of oil spills. Josh Fox is one of the great champions of the environment – a man we should cheer on. For the Republicans to arrest him shows that they don’t understand the issues nor do they follow science. Based on this action alone, no one in their right mind should vote Republican.
