Today feels like the beginning of Stage Two, Reality Ramp-Up time, with or without conspiracy theories at the heart of it.
Stage One: the Japan earthquake/tsunami/nuclear drama and unrest/non-violent and violent protests/military clampdowns in mideast.
Now Stage Two, with again, two main dramas: consequences of Osama “death” and tornadoes/floods/possible earthquake in New Madrid zone of southern U.S.
Weird, I only just now noticed: only one letter distinguishes “Obama” from “Osama” . . .
I have no idea what that or any of the above truly portends. But I noticed the concatenation of Osama and New Madrid last night when I woke up at 1:30 am to the sound of thunder and checked the time on my iphone. Then, sleepily, stupidly, as a matter of habit, clicked on the internet, which launched a two hour insomniac bout.
This by now chronic inability to fall back to sleep right away feels fueled by some kind of weird, wild energy inside me, either staticky or surging. Is that energy merely mine, due to toxic disgestive conditions activating during the “liver” hours? And/or: is there an energy field being broadcast by HAARP or some other equally nefarious invisible weapon system during those hours when people are asleep or want to be asleep, and thus more vulnerable to any kind of invasive psychic attack?
Wow, I sound paranoid!
Then, this morning, on bleary-eyed arising, I checked out the news stories on Osama Bin Laden’s so-called death from a successful U.S. Special Forces op, with his body then, very conveniently, dumped at sea.
True? Or not? Did Osama Bin Laden die yesterday or did he die in December, 2001, as rumored?
What separates rumor from fact in these seemingly pre-apocalyptic days when reality has hyped to surreality?
In the middle of the night, here’s what came to me immediately: this is the beginning of a new false-flag event or series of events. Of what kind, I dunno, but doubtless designed to distract. From what? I dunno either. And the timing is undoubtedly exact. How is that timing connected to the just announced and now obvious military/CIA fusion via the Panetta and Petraeus role-switch?
Chris Hedges, of truthdig.org, and no slouch when it comes to seeing the big picture, appears to take the just-now Osama death event at face value; and then draws from it the same kind of implications that I tend to:
“If it is correct that Osama bin Laden is dead, then it will spiral upwards with acts of suicidal vengeance. And I expect most probably on American soil. The tragedy of the Middle East is one where we proved incapable of communicating in any other language than the brute and brutal force of empire.
And empire finally, as Thucydides understood, is a disease. As Thucydides wrote, the tyranny that the Athenian empire imposed on others it finally imposed on itself. The disease of empire, according to Thucydides, would finally kill Athenian democracy. And the disease of empire, the disease of nationalism … these of course are mirrored in the anarchic violence of these groups, but one that locks us in a kind of frightening death spiral. So while I certainly fear al-Qaida, I know its intentions. I know how it works. I spent months of my life reconstructing every step Mohamed Atta took. While I don’t in any way minimize their danger, I despair. I despair that we as a country, as Nietzsche understood, have become the monster that we are attempting to fight.”
My son Colin, without knowing about Chris Hedges, says he figures announcing the death of Bin Laden now means that they want us to think there will be massive retaliation on U.S. territory, so they’ll have an excuse to clamp down with martial law. (An example of David Icke’s famous: “problem, reaction, solution”). Which brings me to the second of this particular two-pronged drama: the New Madrid fault zone. Here’s a map.
If you’ve been paying attention, you see that the Corps of Engineers has just won the right to breach the levees on the Mississippi right at the Missouri town of New Madrid (!) to save the town of Cairo, Illinois upriver, and drown the farms below. And, incidentally, put lots of water pressure on the New Madrid fault. Not to mention the tectonic consequences of 250 tons of explosives used to breach it. Coincidence? And why is it that much of the zone on this map was also targeted (?) (by HAARP?) by the super tornadoes of last week?
I mean, truly, really, what is going on?
Today I also came across this fascinating, detailed account of 33 conspiracies that turned out to be true . . . I’ll read it later. Instead, I’ll contemplate this wonderful little poem that, serendipitously arrived in my email on this bleary-eyed morning and helped me transcend my paranoid state. Thanks to my daily poetry email!
Who Knows What is Going On
By Juan Ramon Jimenez
(1881 – 1958)
English version by Robert Bly
Who knows what is going on on the other side of each hour?
How many times the sunrise was
there, behind a mountain!
How many times the brilliant cloud piling up far off
was already a golden body full of thunder!
This rose was poison.
That sword gave life.
I was thinking of a flowery meadow
at the end of a road,
and found myself in the slough.
I was thinking of the greatness of what was human,
and found myself in the divine.
