— we have Vladimir Putin, Peacemaker of the Year, according to sott.net, who, BTW, has become a beacon of hope for countries across the globe whose leaders are making pilgrimages to Moscow.
I think they’re both important. Both the women finally speaking their truths about sexual predation and gender imbalance and Putin’s amazing capacity for authentic diplomacy. And I lament that this nation does not recognize the significance of Vladimir Putin, but instead, demonizes him, ferociously projecting all the death and destruction that the U.S. Military Industrial Empire engenders across the globe onto this one man.
Ann, the anti-Putin forces seem part of the old thinking that promoted hidden motives by creating a common enemy. The forces that push this agenda are still very much in control of mainstream media outlets and appear to be pulling out all stops in what feels very much like a last-gasp effort as more and more people begin to see through the charade.
I recall an article from years past expounding on the Russian pull-out of Afghanistan
which gave a nod to Russian mothers who had proclaimed, ‘enough of this useless death and destruction’. Russia has had many more centuries than the US to learn the lessons of the futility of war and the unifying acknowledgment of the irony that ultimately we each are our own worst enemy and best friend.
Thanks to a collective world-wide-web, humanity appears to be in an excellent position to ‘get it right’ this time around. We may take the proverbial ‘two steps forward and one back’ for a while but what a time to be alive in the upward spiral of man’s evolution!
